When I watched it the first time in the official live stream and every time since, it's easy to laugh at First, but honestly it looked to me like he was fearing the Demo from Retals so much because of the number of times Retals had demoed hin in these games. It really got in his head. It looked like Retals was trying to demo, but them realized he could just collect and score the ball.
I think less laughter of First and more accolades should be given to Retals for this. He got into First's head.

Wasn't even THAT crazy, he thought Syp was gonna take the ball safely up the wall (which he probably commed that he'd do) so he wanted to secure the corner, but unfortunately Syp got demoed right after First committed for the boost.
Did he turn kinda late? Yeah but he was also being chased as he has been the entire game so he's well aware of the demo threat and has to dodge it. Realistically he was already doomed after the demo on Syp came through, just a classic case of having to make the lesser of two terrible choices in a split sec: He can turn back for the ball immidiately and risk getting demo'd or grab the boost and dodge the demo bc maybe the ball rolls quick enough to not be scorable.
I understand however that the mood in the call was already amped up towards poking fun so when smth seemingly really dumb happens it feels even more amplified.
The only real mistake was the backflip but FeelsBackFlipMan, happens.
