Assa rogue has been strong for less than half a season, in shadowlands it was terrible & every other expansion before that. Let's not act like we don't see Demon Hunter/Warrior/Disc priest in every single game.

i bet the issue is that rogues perform disproportionately at higher ratings than they do at lower ratings. So for most players rogues are fine, then when you get to the top 1% that they become disgustingly broken.

My favorite time to play PVP was when feral druids bleed didn't stop and could not be healed or purged....if you had a healer with you it was tag and run to the next victim
