It took $30,000.00 worth of equipment to make this custom 1/4” marking jig. It is used to mark the reveal for face trim on doors and windows… which is a task that can be done by eye or using a tape measure alternatively 😁

Well now you know how well the milling machine works so this qualifies as a “scientific experiment”.

It's not pointless, just overkill.

1/4” reveal block? As a former NC trim carpenter that shit is one of the most useful tools out there for door and window casings! I made 3-4 of them and kept a couple in my pouch and a couple spares in my tool box. Saved me probably an hour’s worth of measuring per day.

Jaime is a geniius, an innovator, a great friend and a loving brother. Such a great thoughtful gift!! Why he wrote my name with a K and not a C baffles me. I still love it

Not pointless at all. I love it. It's the small things like this that just makes things go smoother.

It's not 😂🤣 a point less tool. You were having fun. When you are a builder. You have time to think of ways to make a job easier. Congratulations to you. Keep up the great work. Edward Smit

Nothing is pointless or without meaning when it can give you pleasure or fun. Still a good content.

Just a tip, use a shorter endmill next time, also a 2 or 3 flute is always better than a 4 flute when milling aluminum! I hope this helps you in the future. Happy machining!

No tool is useless. Only some workers. But none of your crew is worthless so that tool is a blessing!
