The most obvious definition of “hatred” is displayed by our prime minister who asks “ should we tolerate these people?” when resisted by people who don’t think like he does. He’d like them gone for life. He’ll be gone soon. Laws can be rescinded.

I only see the problems with the bill because you have highlighted them. For this I greatly appreciate the excellent work happening here. This sort of activism requires expertise, so again, thank you. Canada is better for this, and we are clearly not lost.

I think the problem is it does not respect the laws in place by the people that must be upheld in order to have politics and debate or be making laws. They must remain constitutional otherwise it breaks the laws it must follow to make laws.

What scares me most is the unspoken words. As a Christian, my beliefs go against woke socialist ideaologies. Those who are woke define "hate speech" simply as "speech they hate". I will not change my beliefs. If this bill goes through, I will end up in prison for things I haven't said out loud, despite how loving I may be. The Bible says that "Love rejoices with the Truth"...to speak untruths would be unloving and the denial of my faith and my Saviour.
