This is what I do with my children and it works! Dictation is key. Also following up with Webster's speller or Wise owl Polysyllabes book for multisyllabic word work. Drill phonics cards and word root cards next until perfectly mastered.

How do you practice the writing of the lessons from copywork or dictation? Because some lessons have very few words and other have full pages of sentences. If I have the child copy/spell/or if I dictate each lesson, some days they're happy because they're short lessons and other days they refuse to do it because they're so long.
I'm currently using the program with an older student but I struggle with how much they need to orally spell and then how much I need to dictate. I haven't found 1 video or blog to give guidance on this and the instructions in the back of the book are very vague regarding this. Can anyone help? Thank you!
