They are most likely going to make cake. 🤙

zero chance any flying drones will build anything on mars

Thought it was "towels" at first, as a revolutionary way of printing textiles.

The point of 3D printing is getting to print detailed and complex shapes, which would be difficult to produce with traditional techniques. What's the point of 3D printing a cylinder, when you could simply build a wooden cast and pour the concrete in, like we have been doing for almost two hundred years, with really simple tools, in one tenth of the time?

"One lays the material and the next makes sure it looks correct." So one drone does all the work, the other is a useless waste of money. Sounds like it was inspired by the government, not wasps.

This is the technology I like to hear about 😊

like building a house but the contractor's vehicle never stops.

So that’s how they built something as large as the Death Star

Imagine we send them before humans so we have buildings ready to go

The drone making sure it looks correct is slacking.🧐

Sounds like it would still be cheaper to build by hand.

Neat, yet impractical. The rotors are energy hogs, process is too slow, and product is sloppy. Air lifting a scaffold for a crane arm would likely be better.

In the future there will be all carbon nano drones made of, and constructing with, interlocked toroidal polyhex fullerenes.

No atmosphere on Mars broo ☠️⚰️

Considering the current drone on mars has to be ultra lightweight to fly in the extremely thin atmosphere and weight is already an issue for them here on earth that concept seems unlikely unless we terraform mars

"Aren't fully autonomous", its pretty autonomous apart from changing batteries, materials :P

Why does everyone obsess over what tech could do to a far away planet instead of help fix the one we living on 🤦‍♀️
