Yeah, the original author of Pinocchio is Carlo Collodi. He never had children, and he sees children as ugly, selfish, and greedy, which is why Pinocchio got tortured time and time again in that original fairytale.

I actually own a copy of the book and I have read it before. It is absolutely insane especially when compared to the Disney movie, but to be honest the insane aspects made me keep reading lol. If you ever get a chance to read it I highly recommend, it’s an absolute insane experience from start to finish.
