Any time I activate a trash can (or any other receptacle), I get people attacking me like I actually stole something.

I robbed that entire shop without a trash can. You just need to make sure the bar up top says hidden when your crouching. That specific store is the weapon store in the well. I just sat where the owner couldn't literally see me and took everything then sold it to the trader across the street

Every time I steal stuff I get wanted I get caught I even go invisible after being alone and they still see me some how.

I like that you can steal things without a guard running at you at mach speed because you forgot to crouch, just as long as no one sees you, it seems to be fine!

you can steal half that store as is. no one can see those boost packs or helmets if you crouch back there. The guns on the wall require a bit of clever timing for when the owner looks away, but basically everything in that store can be looted where it stands without you getting caught if you play your cards right.

This guy vanished from my game. He restocked all the micro gun I stole, but the next time I came back he vanished. He probably clipped down in through the floor, but thatâs another vendor thatâs unavailable to me.

It's easier if you just duck behind the counter over there as long as your meter says hidden

You can just crouch and steal those straight off the wall, did it in my playthrough

I just snuck over items out in the open and stole stuff when he wasn't looking and it wasn't too difficult since there is a tall counter by where he sits and you can open the container on counter and I ended up stealing damn near everything in his store and it made it easier when I found a chameleon mining space helmet and I even stole 2 microguns with 700 7.77 ammo

I steal everything from this shop when I need a quick 50,000 credits. It takes me about 10 minutes. I just quicksave then wait until he turns his head away, I take everything within arms reach, I look to see if Im caught if not I quicksave then move to where there is more loot and repeat until the whole store is empty. If I am caught I just reload my quicksave.
