Lowering rates is good for everybody who already own assets and is a great in-equalizer for everybody else.
High rates makes it easier to save money and keeps real-estate prices in check. This is better for most people.
Hoping for lowered rates is like pissing ones pants. It feels good now but hurts in the long run...
