Literally doing this right now in my current mastering project. :) Some amazing sounding drums, but extremely loud peaks going into buss compression that need taming first. Top tip!

I usually L1 most channels in order to give the mastering engineer an easier job. I place it last in my chain. I’ll try this for sure, thanks!

Excellent info. I use a clipper that goes into the limiter on my 2 bus. Loud and clean. Right now I've got SIR Standard Clip into TDR Limiter 6 GE. I've used LVC Clipped-MAX and Limited-MAX. Now I've got Schwabe Gold Clip that I've gotta try.
