I don’t know what ended up happening with this, but I have worked with children and adults with disabilities for my lifetime. Some Children with autism are runners aka Bolts. They RUN, no warning, no breaks, no slowing down, no fear. I have literally ran after several kids on different occasions (sometimes there are other adults that also help) while working in schools, 3-4 times out of school grounds and one time several blocks into the neighborhoods! Idk anything about this case or father, but many of these kids don’t respond to their names, yelling to stop, etc, if water is around many will run towards it. Idk what happened to this poor baby boy, but grown man or not, I have literally full on felt like I ran a marathon trying to catch up to kiddos who do this. It is actually possible. It’s tragic…
