And PSA for future parents, choose a pacifier over the thumb!!! Thumbs can’t be taken away! My son was 9 and still sucking his thumb at night, he was so frustrated because he would put it in his mouth while asleep and wake up with his thumb in his mouth and he was incredibly embarrassed by it! Thankfully after a couple nights sleeping with socks on his hands he was able to stop. So always choose pacifier over thumb!

I sucked my thumb for around 10 years, my parents even put chilli to stop me but I was literally so petty I just sucked through the pain. At that time I just wanted to prove a point. I need a lot of braces now.

I sucked my thumb til I was nearly 26 and I was finally able to break my habit... my teeth are finally starting to close and now there's not much of a space... but no braces to fix it... can't afford that... but I stopped my habit and my teeth are closing and I can bite food easier now
