I can relate to this story...my dad was an alcoholic...since at a very young age I felt Christ holding me and my family till now ..after 6 decades my Dad quit drinking and he is a regular church goer...Christ can make things new....

I know that feeling of being near God. It's like a mixture of fear and love. Fear because of the suspense of whether He will physically reveal Himself to you in the form of Christ, and love because you know you are safe in His presence even though you cannot see Him.

Tive aos 8 anos o primeiro encontro com Jesus tambĂŠm. Foi ao ouvir um sermĂŁo do Pastor da minha igreja, num intercâmbio entre igrejas em uma cidade um tanto distante da minha. Bem no final da pregação, ao ouvir o apelo, - um convite para aceitar a Cristo como Salvador-, comecei a sentir uma presença tĂŁo comovente e ao mesmo tempo tĂŁo forte, que tremia de forma difĂcil de conter, meu corpinho, que trajava um vestido de criança daquela ĂŠpoca (anos 80). Minha tia percebeu e encorajou-me a ir ao encontro do pregador como sinal de que me rendia aos pĂŠs daquele que estava literalmente me tocando daquela maneira tĂŁo marcante! Fui a Ăşnica a atender ao apelo do ministro naquela noite. Por fim, meio sem entender pela minha pouca idade, a maioria dos membros das igrejas ali reunidas, se emocionou ao ver uma criança chorar daquela maneira tĂŁo genuĂna e pura. Foi meu primeiro despertar para a fĂŠ cristĂŁ. SĂł senti aquela presença mais uma vez aos 12 anos de idade. InesquecĂvel!

I'm so deeply glad that Yeshua was with you, and spoke to you.â¤ď¸
When I was nine, I started reading about Yeshua in the Bible, and it spoke to my heart about love and dignity, which I didn't get from my abusive narcissist mother.
I couldn't have articulated it at the time, but the way women and children trusted Yeshua resonated with my little heart and mind.
I've loved him ever since.
He's been with me through that same Psalm 23 valley, when I was afraid I might take my own life --- He was holding me, and walked me through.đĽ°
