Why don't they just make it 1x 2x & 3x? 3x would be ACOG, and 2x would use the old 1.5x model.
Obviously the 2x would be the best scope in the game, so naturally it would be limited to only the shittiest of weapons, like DMRs, Slugshotties and low RPM guns.
Now instead of having to learn the sensitivity of 5 scopes, you only have to learn 3.
