The version of the ride in Japan is far better! It was made much more recently, so the effects and animatronics are in great shape compared to the much older US rides. I'm glad Disney's taking this opportunity to upgrade the old ride as it DESPERATELY needed an update!

I haven't been to Disneyland for about 30 years but I did ride Splash mountain. In fact a lot. The first part of the day was so boring because the lines were sooo long, not worth it. Then in the afternoon, it started raining and it never stopped that day. Most of the people left but it was still open! So the parents hung out in the gift shop and us 4 teenagers had Disneyland almost to ourselves the rest of the day. We literally ran up to rides, hopped in and they sent us off. I remember it turning to night. We were soaked. It was so much fun😁

FOR THE FINAL TIME , Splash Mountain is NOT CLOSING forever . They are just closing it for a re-design that will be Tiana themed .

Splash mountain will forever have a place in our hearts. It’s truly upsetting to see this ride shut down as it was a HUGE part of my childhood. R.I.P.
Edit: Do not even mention the re-theme. No one is gonna remember “Tiana’s adventure” as much as they will Splash mountain.

Oh bro when I heard it was closing I was sobbing for two hours. I have so many good memories on that ride like one time me and my uncle were riding it at night and we saw the fireworks but other doing is remodeling it but still it’s really hard to see you go.😢😢
