I had no financial education from my parents or school. My parents also didn't know any better. I only discovered financial literacy in my late 30's.

The conditioning is for a reason. It’s not by accident. School are summoned by government to teach students how to be employees. The economy needs obedient workers that rely on owners to provide them work. Not sure about Canada but 70% of the US economy is from people spending so they don’t want people to save and invest, live below their means. They want them to work for the rich and spend to keep the economy the way it is.
