Yesterday, I learned that the main riff from Smoke on the Water is an inversion derived from a few measures of a Beethoven composition. Beautiful! Reminds me of when i learned a few different Hendrix songs and trying to figure out what hand positions must be in from ear. It about broke me 😂😂 but i learned to LOVE double-stops

Super cool thanks. What does outlining the chord actually mean? Playing chord tones? In this case you’re playing two notes of the D chord with a hammer on to complete the triad?
