I think it's great that you suggest starting with the assistance of the box to get your back stronger first. It helped me get to finally pulling my body weight up which I couldn't do. And the guy in the background struggling to pull up is Hilarious! Thanks Strength Side

Im not able to go to a gym, so i bought one of those door frame pull up bars. The first day, i didnt think doing a pull up would be hard, so i tried and I failed miserably. Because of that, I got motivaton to do a pull up. I didnt do any working up to it, and instead tried doing the whole thing. About 4 days later, i got my first one. 2 days after that (today), i can do 3 pull ups in a row. This method helped me a ton, but im not sure if it will help other people as much as it helped me. Good luck on your first pull up! You got this!

when i was training my female friend what worked was just progressive overload with lots of reps on the lat pull down machine. nothing fancy. got the pull-up in 1 month
