A simple, no-yeast recipe which will blow your mind. Like, seriously!! These are SO SO GOOD 😍
Save the recipe:
2 cups Maida
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
4 tbsp Melted Butter
4 tbsp Curd
Water - as required
Coriander - to apply on top of the Kulcha
Ghee/butter - to cook
* In a bowl, mix together Maida, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
* Then add butter and mix till crumbly.
* Add curd & water, knead into a smooth & soft dough. Let it rest for 1 hour.
* After 1 hour, knead again & divide the dough into 6 roundels (pedas).
* Sprinkle some flour, and roll out the Peda into a Kulcha. Apply some coriander on top and roll again.
* Now, for cooking, apply some water on other side of the Kulcha and place it on a hot tawa.
* Sprinkle some water on the sides of the Kulcha and cover with a lid. The Kulcha will be cooked from the steam. After a minute, check if the Kulcha is half-cooked. If yes, flip it over and cook on the other side as well.
* Then add some ghee/butter and roast the Kulcha till it is light golden.
* Serve hot & enjoy
