A lot of large plants just collect dust anyway so... Remember to dust your plants!

I got my snake plant because of the “clean” air, convinced myself it made my room stink less, etc. the real reason I kept it is because of all the evidence of how it improves mental health. Suffering from BPD and generalized anxiety, I needed my little Audrey around.

My answer is always HAVE WINDOWS. It shouldn't be hard. Hate how common windowless construction is.

Can you do a video on air purifiers and their pros and cons? Are they worth the investment?

also never open the windows when it rains because all the pollen will be washed from the trees. it really makes a difference.

Plants do work as purifiers but you need like a whole wall of dense plants per person. One potted plant isn't doing much.

This is what I’ve been trying to tell my mom. Dust is what keeps her allergies going. Dusting and vacuuming helps to minimize this. Plus that “house smell” becomes less if you air out your home too and change your sheets, wash curtains, and use washable covers on couches! 😅

What a coincidence that just an hour ago I was explaining dust mites and how to minimise them to my daughter 😊

Yeah, I can get bad allergic reactions that turn into acute bronchitis, and what helps me the most regulating this is having my window (or the door to the balcony) open at night, even in the winter, and I have an air purifier right next to my bed. Ten years ago I had constant issues with not being able to breathe at night, feeling like I was drowning etc, then my dad gave me his air purifier to try out bc it wasn't doing what he wanted it to do, and suddenly many of my breathing issues vanished.

Vacuum, wipe off surfaces especially those you dont really think about like doorframes, change your sheets, wash your pillows and plushies if you have any, air out your blanket or wash it, basically just get rid of dust regularly. I'm only allergic to grass but these things help my allergies too. The only difference is that I shut my windows if I hear a lawnmower then open them a few hours later if it's still warm out lol

I have bad allergies. I have six house plants in my bedroom. These two things have nothing to do with each other! To keep my allergies at bay I use a hepa air purifier, air out my room daily, wash my sheets and allergy encasings regularly, and vacuum super regularly with a Hepa vacuum!

I have multiple air purifiers, house plants, vacuum, and removed all the carpet. I am allergic to dust.

Better idea: get rid of carpet! I loathe carpet!! Plus I have six cats and a dog. Yes, I hate carpet.

Plants clean the air. He didn't say they don't he said they don't do it fast enough to make a major impact. Plants have been air purifiers since the beginning of time. I stand with the plants 😂 I have 2 snake plants in my house. I have alot more plants but only 2 are snake plants. i open my house daily and I do have air purifiers but I don't use them much it's an unessccary use of electric, for me anyways

I have two snake plants - Solid and Plissken. And they do bloody nothing, while I die slowly of dehydration by sneezing.

I hate when someone says something but has no scientific proof on their claim, they just "feel" like it's true. For example the woman claiming you should get a snake plant

Some plants actually produce VOC and release other compounds that increase pollution indoor. best way is to have HEPPA filter air purifier
