Science uses metric system, world uses metric system and only 3 countries use imperial. Metric is just better easier and logical to use. Most important you dont waste time with converting, you dont need to remember stuff and one word doesnt describe 8 things like ounce for example.

holdover from US colonial era in my country: imperial system. or "US customary units". people still measure things in inches and pounds, but the younger generation is starting to modernize to the metric system.
one time my ex gf asked me what a candle's length was and specified in inches. i told her 250mm (machinist so im very used to using mm for pretty much everything) and when she inevitably complained i told her that an inch is 25.40mm and just use a calculator. 😆

Lucky for you that at least the US drug companies don't hate the metric system. A thouuuusandth of a tablespoon of oxy would be sort of challenging to measure, wouldn't it.

I hope this is a joke, but I feel like it isnt.
I think the only reason people would "hate" the metric system is because it is as nerve wrecking to convert between the systems as it is to convert things in the imperial system itself, which is the problem with it. 💀
Therefore to basically just say "imperial is better, because I hate metric" is a statement that makes people seem to be of simple mind, but for this is only my opinion, it is okay to say that in your opinion the imperial system is the better system for you. I mean, after all, there is one country in the world that still uses it practically. 🙃
Btw an interesting marketing strategy to sell books by making an intention attracting statement. 🤦

Ein bischen Holz anbohren und daraus nen Stuhl/Bett/Tisch machen ist eine Sache .... 200km oder extra für dich 124 Meilen in den Orbit gelangen ne andere.
