I love the tip about main dining! On my last solo cruise it was a back to back and on the first leg I was at a wonderful table with a group of all other solos. On the second leg, though, they seated me with 3 other couples who all had a drink package that I didn’t have and would order bottles of wine and not share with me and I felt incredibly left out. I didn’t have to ask because I was lucky from the get go on that cruise, but next time I’m definitely doing this! Do you have any tips on what to say if you’re on a ship with anytime dining to not get sat alone or with couples? I know it’s going to probably be easiest to ensure you can sit with other solos in traditional dining, but I know more and more cruises seem to be doing anytime dining and I want to be prepared. I think it’s such a nice opportunity to share a meal with other people from all walks of life you I ordinarily might have never met or had the chance to get to know otherwise. As a solo cruiser, I already usually have to have breakfast and lunch alone every day, and look forward to having other guests to talk to at dinner. I tend to enjoy the food in the buffet more, but the perk of being able to be sat with other solo cruises in main dining can’t be beat.
