My cousin is a brilliant soon to be doctor. Worked her ass off, etc. but her skin is white(thankfully with Her father was born in Africa). She applied to every school she could find just putting Caucasian on her resume, and she didn’t get into ANY school for 2 or 3 applicant rotations…
My father finally convinced her to put African American on her resume, and suddenly, same straight A’s as she always had, she got the pick of the litter, getting accepted into EVERY single medical school she applied to, now some with scholarships…
So yea preferential treatment and privilege exist… Just not for whites

So true. As a former recruiter we waited for a black candidate to hire who met minimum requirements compared to others who were white candidates and less more qualified than white candidates. We waited months to fill a position with a minority to meet status quo to snd not necessarily with the highest qualified candidates.

Totally true. My nephew is Hispanic and was told he’d receive a 50% discount on his college tuition because he’s a minority.
