Recently, a new scam is doing rounds where people are receiving text messages similar to an official e-challan alert from the government.
But mind you, these messages contain a fake link to make the payment. Once you tap the link, your phoneβs security is compromised and on entering your payment details on the official payment portal look-alike - the scammers can also hack your bank account.
