Your rights to privacy ends when it puts other people at risk.
I own a clinic, and the doctor/assistant sometimes accidentally poke themselves with the needle thats just been used on a patient. When such accidents happen, they ask the patient if they have hiv, 2 have responded yes.
Just because something is practically curable, doesn't mean its ok for other people to catch it from you. Imagine unknowingly contracting HIV and passing it to your entire family while also getting 0 treatment because you don't know you have it. There was a caselong ago in my country where an entire family died because the mother didn't know she got hiv.
Tell them if they handle your body parts, or at the very list bring your own tools.

Unfortunately, practically all over the world we have very low hygiene standards in nail salons. Files are used many times, instead of throwing away after each client. Often, milling cutters, cuticle nippers, etc are not washed in an ultrasonic bath and are not then sterilized in an autoclave, which is much better than a hot air sterilizer. There are situations in which nail stylists pretend to clients that they are taking out tools from sterilizing packages, which should have a dark marking when they are suitable for use And light color when unsterile. Some stylists color these places with a marker, some cut out small holes to pull the tools through, so that the color of the package does not change. Not only should the tools be clean, the work station should not have dust from previous clients, the salon should be equipped with a dust absorber (which works and not only pretends to work)UV lamps, countertops and other items should always be wiped and disinfected. The same goes for the client's and stylist's hands - always washed and disinfected before starting the service, the stylist puts on gloves and only then touches the sterile tools. If you want to have your nails done in clean conditions, I recommend going to a Polish stylist (sometimes Russians too). In Poland, there is a very high standard of hygiene in salons. Sometimes you will find a Polish salon abroad, but obviously not everyone is the same, so in Poland you can find terrible conditions too. The best option is to call the salon before your visit and ask if they sterilize their tools and throw away disposable ones after each client. The stylist MUST open the packages in front of you, or alternatively take the tools straight from the autoclave that says "sterilization complete" or something like that. Otherwise you don't know for sure that the tools are sterile, you only trust their word AND REMEMBER YOU CAN DEMAND CLEAN TOOLS THIS IS YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR LIFE.
If I were to live outside Poland, I would definitely start doing my nails myself so as not to get infected with something in the salon.
Thank you if you made it here, have a nice day

Where the problem occurs is that many nail salons do not practice proper sanitation techniques. Hepatitis is a much more likely infection than HIV, as are fungal infections. After having been tested for HIV and Hepatitis after getting my nails done for my daughter's wedding, I am extremely wary of any and all nail salons.
I'm not terrified of people with HIV. As a member of the queer community of a certain age, I've lost friends and rejoiced in the advances made by medical science. I've seen what uninformed hatred can do, so Dr. Karan is exactly right about not having to disclose. It's the salons who would be at fault for improper sterilization techniques.

Addressing the comment section:
Nail salons need to follow proper sanitisation protocol to protect their clients, its not on HIV positive people to bring their own sterilised tools and inform strangers of their medical status, that's absurd. It's almost like this video went through one ear and out the other.

Important: with an undetectable virus load! That is never the case in fresh or untreated infections! So do not assume, anyone, you can skip protection! The numbers Dr Karan mentioned are an important fact for couples but not to be taken out of context.
