Oh that twisting of the knife. Especially when you realize how desperate everything had become, Malcador could read Dorn's mind on the way to the throne room. It was EMPTY. He was out of moves, he'd used everything and had nothing left to give to keep the traitors out. If he had heard this, the message the whole situation changes. 9 hours with what's left in the palace? Done would of pulled it off, especially knowing the person coming was GUliman with more or less his entire legion. The traitors would have been doomed.

Iâve always wondered how it must have felt for the first Ultramarines to hit Terraâs surface and seeing a ruined wreck with only small pockets of traitors remaining. They were too late, the Emperor was mortally wounded, Sanguinius was slain, and Dorn was an emotional wreck. Walking through the areas occupied by Emperorâs Children and Night Lords to see unspeakable atrocities inflicted upon millions in such a short span of time. I wonder how the traditionally emotionally reserved Ultramarines would have handled it.
