Where is the loud and overly excited Streaky and what did you do to him?

I've always used the g-bus comp parallel to my vocal bus, it maintains low end better than any other comp I can think of. Great advice!

Lol I’ve been suffering from thin vocals for years! Unfortunately, it’s genetic, my whole family has thin vocals. Hopefully this can help alleviate my symptoms

Or even better use a fet compressor, especially for rap vocals as its a very aggressive compressor and it'll also add some saturation

I normally use a DrawmerS73 or Chandler Curve Bender , may try a DBX160 , will try this as well.

I still dont get whats its doing? It just turns the volume up with less transients and peaks. Whats the difference between this and a regular compressor and adding more gain? Parallel effects I understand are things like distortion and saturation that are smashing a sound, then fade that in as a parallel track

are you hitting that pre fade or post?

When you use reaper and you can do parallel processing on the main channels:

Прикольно! What can be used except, SSl?

|

@PapaGinseng_

That will add volume .. but not thickness .. so a thin vocal will stay thin but sound louder ..
