The real reason is beause it’s a trend. Once messi started doing it everyone started drinking from the same type of gourd with the same brand of thermos, and the same yerba and the same bombilla style.

I want to check out yerba's American cousin yaupon, been mostly hooked on Chinese and Japanese teas recently and might branch out into some new stuff.

Does it clog more on the smaller spoon bombillas, or do i just need to get better at getting it under the yerba? I always see you using a pretty big one. For me, Its not necessarily blocking off 100%, it just goes from a smooth pull with slurpage at the end, to slurping the whole time because its more bubbling up the bombilla rather than flowing.
Sorry for long winded explanation, but i figure a question like this requires a lot of elaboration.

I have just finished my second bag of yerba (first playadito then rosamonte) and enjoyed both of them. you say beginners should stay away from canarias, is there a different brand you would recommend for a “beginner” looking to explore uruguayan cuts?
