If you want it to look more ovular like a Mexican jumping bean then just don't crease the sides of the cube as you inflate it. To make it spring highest quickly press the pleats to the table and quickly slide your finger off. To make it spring forward the condensed spring needs to be leaning forward as you release it. This model is based on the origami balloon box AKA origami ball, but it is folded from a 2 by 1 rectangle instead of from a square so the extra paper gets folded into the spring which makes this origami catapult through the air like a jumping worm! This could also be called a Jumping Minecraft Slime Cube or a Minecraft Magma Cube.
