I’m happy for the crew as they keep the money from all recycling & aluminum pays more than plastic. They get to buy items for crew area like TV’s, karaoke machine, etc.

Just got off of Oasis of the Seas yesterday and we had the cans, too---- it was awkward at first but then i realized the cans really work, they keep the water colder and for longer.

The only thing I've not liked about cans with pop tops is you can't reseal them if you don't drink the whole thing. A solution to that is a can cover/top that you can buy, but twist top bottles (whether plastic or aluminum) I like as if we don't finish it we can save it for later easier.

I wonder if on this next RCCL cruise at the end of April the water I ordered for the cabin will be in cans? The last RCCL cruise on the 1st weekend of February was plastic water bottles. I hope it is canned water!

We had the cans on the Disney Dream in Oct. at first we laughed but then decided we really liked them because the water was colder when we took it out of the in room “fridge”/cooler and it stayed cold much longer! I would buy the canned water at home if I found it.

It's different. But Royal is committed to helping to save the environment. However...I need my larger bottle of water. 🤣😂🤣

We had this on Celebrity and it worked great. Bring your own water bottle if you need a bottle, or empty the can into your bottle.

Can is much better. The plastic can leach into the water when it's above a certain temperature. And metal keeps the water cooler. Aaaand, sunlight can cause microbes to activate if any are present in the water. And i can't tell you how many times I've see half full water bottles discarded at events, while people tend to finish their canned beverages. It makes the garbage heavier and it's a total waste.

It’s hard when you need to take water off ship on excursions! We have started bringing closed cups/ water bottles to pour it into for walking around!

Just got off of a Christmas cruise ib Freedom. I don't mind the cans, however - the amount of water dropped from 16oz to 12oz - guess what didn't drop as much.... the price.

I like the can idea. If chilled, your water will stay cooler longer. Plus environmentally friendly. On another note, can you bring your own sodas on NoTS? I saw a creator EECC Travels, do this and was surprised 😮

We were on Wonder while it was in Europe and they had the canned water there. But I am with you, it was just a little strange drinking still water from a can. Old habits are hard to break, but we got use to it by the end of the cruise.

We have been on several cruises with the cans. The problem is once opened, you can't put a top on and stick in your bag like a water bottle. I think there is more waste as a water bottle can be refilled.

As long as it’s a pop top and not a cap like Celebrity’s - those are tough to open and cut you easily 😅

I feel it is just a change we all need to embrace, it might be different at first...but its just water! Also Recycling plastic is more complex, leads to degradation and has lower reuse rates than aluminum. I would prefer my canned water to be flat, not carbonated. Drinking carbonated is like drinking Alka-Seltzer

I didn’t enjoy it. Mainly because I couldn’t close it and have more later. Having it open to the elements made me feel like I had to throw it away after a certain amount of time whereas with a bottle I can drink on it for longer. Also having a can next to the bed at night it kept my mind active that I may hit it and it spill all over. But the think I really had a hard time with was at the gym. I go daily when on a cruise and it’s just weird to carry around a can from machine to machine.

I like the can concept

I do not like the now need to check out every can. With water bottles i would ask for two or three no problem. But now with cans only one per card as they want to track it. But having said that, we do have to support it because the can can be recycled a lot easier than the plastic. So yes inconvenient but will help in the long run.
