Caesar also knew deep down the Colonel was right. And unlike the other apes, Caesar never necessarily wanted humanity to go extinct or become primitive, so the idea of humans being reduced to animals made him slightly sad. After all, humans raised him and taught him everything he knew.

I love how they are coming back to the feel of the 1968 original movie. They still got 1600 more years though.

He was literally 100% right, watching that movie was hard for me because I literally agreed with him 100% even if I obviously liked Caesar as he’s our protagonist we have emotional investment in

"This is a Holy war. All of human history has led to this moment. If we lose, we'll be the last of our kind. It will be a planet... of apes... & we will become your cattle." Edit: Thanks for the likes ! 😌

Watching War, you obviously root for Caesar and the apes since they are shown to be compassionate, intelligent, and relatively peaceful beings, however you totally understand the antagonist, the Colonel. If the Apes had time to grow in number and build, humanity would be overtaken. You are left wondering who to root for, the main character, or your own race. Of course, if it were real we'd be choosing our own race, but still, amazing movie.

He also says "All of human history has led to this moment. If we lose, it'll be a planet of apes, and we'll become your cattle"

You all watch. For the final instalment of this trilogy Mark Whalberg is gonna show up in front of the new Abraham Lincoln memorial statue.

He wasn’t kidding. The last stand of humanity crumbled into an avalanche. Thus the planet of the apes could rise.

no matter how realistic and entertaining the film is, it teaches us a lesson that we should never play with nature and defy it, since humans cannot defeat nature

If they so wanted, they could have the next movie retell the events of original movie but within the context of only 400 years have passed as opposed to 2 or 3 thousands years, and even make some changes so it's not a complete retelling. Something people tend to forget is that these are not prequels, they're part of a rebooted narrative so they don't have to be held to the continuity of the original film.

What a fantastic series of movies. I can't help but feel they are somewhat underrated. Not in reviews, from critics or viewers (rightfully positively reviewed) but the overall movie audiance. Don't seem to hear much about them, i get a sense they are somewhat overlooked.

He also mentioned how if Ceasar's son was meant to rule his holy "Kingdom' he is glad he killed his family. 300 years later movie is called Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

What i love about this trilogy is that all the « bad humains » all want humanity to be save and i think that’s beautiful in this movies there is not bad or good people but species that fight for there existence and that’s why there are great movies and stories

But the storyline is considerably different than the original movie. In POTA, Taylor learns that humanity crumbled after a nuclear war.

Even Caesar, while not saying it, understood his positions and somewhat agreed.
