Yeah its even worse when you have personalised ads turned off and the ads are still very much targeted.
Like I watch a lot of guitar and bass content and after I turned personalised ads I started getting loads of clearly targeted ads about how to learn guitar and ads for guitar related products

It's like the online version of those people that stand in high-traffic pedestrian zones and try to get you to donate to their charity, and then guilt trip and interrogate you when you tell them you can't afford it. I told one of them I was a student barely getting by and receiving financial aid (Bafög, for the fellow Germans) and he was like "well so am I. And I still donate. So why can't you afford it?" Like okay sure but maybe you still live with your parents, or you have roommates, or you live in a less expensive area, or you have less other expenses, whatever, but it's none of your business what I spend my money on, and if I wanna use my leftover 20€ at the end of the month on a little treat for myself instead of donating, that's my choice and you got no business trying to make me feel like I'm a bad person for it.
