I swear the not being able to extract the clip in the M1 Garand with rounds still in it myth was helped kept from COD players who believed it all their life. Hell It wouldnt have even make sense from a manufacturer perspective to not allow your wielder the ability to load additional rounds after firing, that is something that the M1903 Springfield could do and the M1 Garand was aiming to become the next U.S service Rifle. Pun intended.

I have a Springfield M1 Garand, Manuf. May 1944, all original. It has the clip latch. You are absolutely correct.
