To perform a chest press with dumbbells on the floor, follow these steps:

Setup: Start by sitting on the floor with a dumbbell in each hand. Place the dumbbells on your thighs and lie back on the floor.

Positioning: Hold the dumbbells with an overhand grip, palms facing away from you. Position the dumbbells at chest level, with your elbows bent at a 90-degree angle.

Feet Placement: Keep your feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart or just a bit wider if that feels better. This provides a stable base for the exercise.

Execution: Press the dumbbells upward by extending your arms, straightening your elbows. Exhale during this phase.

Lowering Phase: Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position, inhaling as you do so. Maintain control and keep your elbows slightly below the level of your torso.

Repetition: Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
Beginners- Start with light weight 3 sets of 15 reps to help you get used to the movement.

Tips: Ensure a stable and controlled movement throughout. Engage your chest muscles and avoid locking your elbows at the top of the press. Adjust the weight of the dumbbells based on your fitness level.
