Seattle police Assistant Chief Dan Nelson appeared before members of the City Council Public Safety Committee to highlight some of the dangerous street racing impacts that happened early Sunday morning.
Just after midnight Sunday, police were called for about 100 vehicles that were gathered in a private parking lot revving their engines.
People began to drive away as the enforcement efforts were underway, but Nelson said a new event began to spring up nearby.
