Also, nobody is saying this about Zeus and Poseidon because most people understand them as being fictional characters. Nobody is preaching about Poseidon, or trying to make you worship Zeus. You aren't looked down upon for not believing in those characters. If you say "Zeus isn't real," it won't cause fanatics to attempt to make you believe. Nobody follows The Odyssey like a strict guideline for life.
The Bible is just like The Odyssey. It's a very old story. It's full of symbolism and analogies, it's a cautionary tale. It makes complete logical sense to not follow every word like it's the solid truth.

Simple: nobody is forcing Poseidonism on anyone or saying “Poseidon said it, so I believe it, and you better too.” Nobody had had to endure the small-minded bigotry of Poseidonists, and nobody kills in the name of Poseidon as they have in the name Jehovah and Allah. I say all this as an orthodox Christian: the biggest stumbling block for people is us, not Him.

Well, that's because 1/2 of the world practices an Abrahamic religion today, while the Hellenic Pantheon hasn't been worshipped in real volumes since Roman times.
Still doesn't change the fact the Greek gods and the Abrahamic god are both just myths written by people with interesting imaginations.

I don't believe in a god that would allow for eternal suffering in a pit of fire, and the only way to avoid such a fate is to completely devote your life to him. If that God is real, I would hate him. I don't want to believe in that God, either.
Saying that people who disagree with that God is proof that God is real is the most ridiculous coping mechanism I've ever seen.
I will devote my life to experiencing the world, thanks. I'm more concerned with what happens before I die, I'm not going to waste my time worrying about what comes after.

Hey, Atheist here! The misconception is that we focus on the Christian god because we think that he's worse than other conceptions of God, but it's really for two big reasons (at least for me)
1. He's the god that the most people believe in, along with the Muslim and Jewish conception of the same God, and because religious people argue that he is perfect and all good. With minor exceptions, nobody still believes in the Greek Gods, and it's generally accepted that all of them are jerks (you say nobody's anti-zeus, but it's so obvious how horrible Zeus is in the mythology that it's almost a joke in mythology studies that their king god was so rapey and awful
2. Unlike gods like Poseidon and Athena, the Abrahamic god is meant to be all powerful, all knowing, and all good. In Greek mythology, it makes sense that the world is so full of misery and suffering, because the gods are all portrayed as jerks. But in the old testament/Hebrew Bible, God is horrible to the people of earth, regularly killing and torturing them for faults that he made them with, and yet everything he does is praised as good.
For many atheists, while we are unconvinced of the existence of any god, we imagine that if he does exist, he cannot be all good because he allows horrific things to happen in this world when he does not have to. He could have made the world without the horrors that it has. Stephen Fry once said that if he was wrong and meet God when he died, he'd say: "Bone cancer in Children? What's that about? How dare you?"
It's hard for us to find a god who created and allows the existence of the devil when he doesn't have to, as a good god.
I'm really not trying to hate with this post btw, I just thought that you may be interested in the other perspective. I'm an atheist who loves Jesus, I just don't believe in gods ❤️. I hope this helps!

Or that they hate the universe and the oneness at the center of it(Pantheism), or they really hate that unmoved mover who set things in motion and walked away (Deism). No what they really hate is the God of the Bible. Instinctively this says a lot of what is engraved on our conscience, whether we’d like to admit it or not.
