Doubt it. It's based on old stories with different meanings. I think the kiss is related to the fact that men used her. It's a general trend in many fairy tales, especially sleeping beauty/snow white type stories. Her body was literally displayed in some dude's bedroom after he saw her sleeping corpse and fell in love. It's legit gross. Also, the apple was just stuck in her throat and getting dropped dislodged it. In one version of the story, this was the third object the queen had given her. She managed to be saved from them by them being removed from her dead body, such as a magical ribbon, which I think was removed by the men who took care of her as a souvenir. Again, they were respectful, but still were all in love with her. It's a very weird story.

From what ive heard about the original story, she didn't fully eat the apple because a pice got suck in her throat, that made her choke and passout. But with the kiss, the princess managed to unloge it.
