Locked glass doors are for high-end liquors and home art collections which shan't be tampered with by children.
These are not made for the purpose of preventing purchases.
Remember that putting things vehind glass both cuts down on shrink and legitimate purchases, because consumers have to ask themselves whether it's worth standing in one spot for 10 minutes to buy

If I see something locked up I just go to a nearby store and buy it there. It is usually faster than waited for an employee to help me. I also like to read the back of packages when choosing between products which I don't feel comfortable doing with employee waiting for me to be done.
