Well said, Dr. Hoeflinger. You talk so well, it's a pleasure to watch you and to listen to you. No kidding. I always learn so much from you. People should learn much more about the brain. So fascinating. And important. Thank you.

I thought I knew a fair amount about neurology as a lay person. Time to reassess! I have cerebral palsy and was born in 1960 so I'm amazed at the knowledge that has been acquired since. If I were young enough to start again, I would go to medical school as a diagnostic neurologist or maybe a psychiatrist but Dr h, you are the closest I'm going to get. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach those of us who are lay people and patients.

How can we believe we have free will if 95% of our decisions are beyond our conscious control? You give me so much to think about. Thank you for taking the time.

#2 - brain is 75% water, #3 - brain is 60% fat. ....... #6 - the part of your brain that calculates percentages is 90% blocked when talking on YouTube.

Ok i have a question. I am a registered nurse but not specialized in neurology....my question is.... the brain is 60% fat. What happens when you try a weight loss diet? Does the brain shrink the brain also? I just dont know. . I constantly study. I worry about brain loss as i age. I need to lose a lot of weight.

Very interesting, Dr. H! I found #5 extremely interesting and a little confusing! All the points were great. I was wondering if someone is dehydrated would that also cause brain shrinkage? If so, make sure to stay hydrated! Thanks for the fun facts!

Thank you for your videos, sir. TBI survivor and all my research says alcohol is so bad for the brain. It’s not even funny. You’re short videos, and all your newsletters help me more than you can imagine!!!
