Grey Noise is the Lesser Known Noise Color

Grey Noise is the smoothest of the classic Noise Colors, but is is relatively obscure compared to White Noise or Pink Noise. These three noise colors are full spectrum noise, meaning all the frequencies we humans can hear are present, but Grey Noise has a secret; the equalization curve known as loudness.
The loudness curve was ever present on stereos in the second half of the 20th century so Gen -X and Boomers know all about the loudness button. Pressing this button increases bass and treble... the low frequency and high frequency. This makes the home stereo sound better at low volume which was a great feature for nighttime listening.
Gray Noise has this equalization curve built-in. No loudness button required. This makes it ideal for low volume late night listening.

Here is the long-play version of Grey Noise:    • Grey Noise the Smoothest & Less Known...

Thanks for listening, Dale

This is great. I use hissing sounds (my t is similar to a hissing, so they help a lot) , and i did not expect this sound would be so soothing, and even mask the T...thanks a lot! 🙏
