If you watch how the thoughts are slowly changing about addicts, you might understand humanity a little more. Look on the streets in every major city in America and you see zombies. NOT ONE of those people wanted to be a statistic. People have always been drawn to taking a substance that alters reality this includes alcohol and legal and illegal drugs. We are now learning that what separates casual users and addicts is trauma. Trauma has been the gun that shoots the bullet to the brain. Unfortunately, if you have lots of money behind you as an addict, you can be hidden in rehabs or homes, those who start with nothing will be out on the streets. You will never judge a homeless addict like you would if the addict was a rock star. Trauma will kill you no matter who you are.

Drug addiction leads to crime, like theft, rape, graffiti, shoplifting, private property damage, homelessness, littering, prostitution, death by accident, murder all of this leads to family devastation. drug addiction is not an illness is a calculated choice.

You tell them jelly roll. This is how it is. It is sad and pathetic that they don't do nothing. But thank you for speaking up for us. And people that are out there that are struggling about this. Families that have had people die in friends in cousins and Mother's and daughters and sisters.

Good points but families have tried to help family members with drug problems and hoping they'will be willing to get help. VERY EXPENSIVE IN TIME MONEY LOSSES AND HEARTBREAK. FORGOTTEN CHILDREN THAT WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF
