The funny thing is I think my characters backstories have become edgier but I've become a better writer so it's just trauma spice now, though despite the edgier background most of them aren't nearly as edgy in general as before

All of my ocs have to have some sort of trauma that gets amplified by daily life, it’s just how it is

I created some characters when i was younger. They both were part of royal families. One good, and one bad.
The bad ones had a daughter who wasn't actually part of royalty, but they took her in for reasons i didn't get to figure out yet.
But my god, is that a rollercoaster. It's a good concept, but it's also really cringy to me. 😭
