I like the concept. The reason behind the odd creatures leaves me intrigued. More questions are left to be answered such as why we would be sent to recover the tanks or why the internet was abandoned. Perhaps the odd monsters are what caused its destruction. The art direction is unique and adds a lot to the spooky aspect of it, and the sound design looks to be promising from this teaser.
On a side note, is "1 bit" referring to the bitplanes on each sprite or is it about the size of the CPU's bus? I know that bits were often used as a marketing buzzword by video game manufacturers in the early days.
