Truthfully, the more I played Dragon's Dogma 2, the more I realized it was not quite for me. While the exploration and combat systems were abundantly compelling, alongside the satisfactory character customization that illustrates sufficiently proportional growth based on expended thought and effort, the Pawns and lacking narrative were more hit-and-miss. Still, at least in the case of the Pawns, their means of incorporation isn't an internet flaw, as it primarily depends on your perspective going into their collective presence. You can undoubtedly enjoy the Pawn system if you view them as extensions of yourself rather than their own beings. On the other hand, the dry story is probably where most players will divert their attention, and it's not too defendable, given its constant presence. In the long run, Dragon's Dogma 2 is an investment that requires you to live and breathe it while also taking your time to reap all of its gameplay goodness. If you have the patience and don't necessarily mind the moderately inconsistent framerate, this is a fantasy adventure worth seeing through to its end.
