Hi, I'm Maggie and I have Crohn's disease. I am thrilled to be here sharing my personal experiences with Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as living with an ostomy. I'm proud to share a little bit from a clinical experience as well, having worked as a GI pediatric nurse and ostomy telehealth nurse. I am so glad you are here. ♥ #ibd #crohnsdisease #ostomy

Hi Maggie! I don’t know if you remember me but we met last August at the Ostomy Conference, I recognized you when we were all hanging out the hotel’s pool lol? Because I had watched a lot of your videos when I had my own proctectomy as an insecure teen girl with severe Crohn’s disease, and you sharing about your surgical journey made me feel much less alone and scared, it helped me realize having a permanent ileostomy wasn’t the end of my life. It was amazing to meet you and your husband in person and get to know you and talk about our shared struggles as women with Crohn’s, you’re both wonderful people! Anyways, I just finished healing from the vaginal fistula and pelvic abscess takedown surgery I had in January, which ended up being another exploratory laperotomy with bladder reconstruction due to how bad my adhesions were, and the algorithm recently guided me back to your channel and I just wanted to say hi as a new subscriber :) And that I was so sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy and rupture, I’m sorry for your loss, it’s so unfair that you’ve had to experience something so painful and unpredictable after everything you’ve already been through due to Crohn’s, but I am so glad you’re still with us, you are such an incredibly strong person, and a comfort and inspiration to all of us with IBD and an ostomy, wishing you all the best for your recovery and plans for future parenthood! Nothing can steal that spark you have that makes you and your content special.
