I always assumed if you throw the teeth away, at some point in the future a murder investigation is going to go sideways lol

My moms proudest moment as a mother (so she claims) is when I lost my tooth in a hotel, so when she was giving us hugs good night she palmed a dollar (my family did magic) and exchanged the dollar for the tooth. I found the dollar a few moments later and my older brother yelled 'and it couldn't have been mom or dad! I was watching them!" Edit: omg thanks for all the likes 😭 I showed my mom and she was so happy others were appreciating her sneakiness

When my son was 7 or 8 he asked his dad, "why does the tooth fairy want my teeth? What does she do with them?" Hubby said "she recycles them and makes teeth for old people" 😂 he said he panicked and that was the first thing that came to mind 😂

When my friends little sister lost her tooth, their mom said that the tooth fairy couldn’t come because the room was so messy and she couldn’t get to the pillow, obviously trying to make her clean her room. Instead, my friends sister just put her pillow with the tooth under it in the hallway lol

Never have I thought I would hear someone say “Neither is weird. Keep the teeth; don’t keep the teeth…”

I kept the teeth... for no particularly reason, and at one point we got into some medical study, and they compensated the family for doing surveys and donating stuff like hair, nails, blood ... And teeth. I got $60 for 3 baby teeth... And helped some sciencey folks with their research regarding how kids develop allergies & asthma. The money went to his college fund, but still .... SELL EM IF YOU CAN 🤣🤣

Just sharing here, but I had split parents and my mom helped me make a tooth fairy pillow, complete with a very small tooth pocket. Cost us an afternoon at Joann fabrics picking out the most sparkly sample fabrics and pack of cotton balls for stuffing, plus she showed me how to sew a pocket. Very inexpensive and was appreciated by both parents ♥️

I played toothfairy a little too long. I snuck into my sons room to do the tooth job and there was a note that said something like "hey, mom I know you're the toothfairy and thank you for the money. I hope you still leave money. Love you." 😂 I was like OMG so when he woke up I handed him the money and gave him the biggest hug

You mean we don't have get drunk and play tooth fairy assault course while setting a world record for whispered swearing? Maybe that was just my dad when I was a kid 😂

We used to empty out a matchbox, fold a piece of toilet paper for a “bed” for the tooth and in the morning there would be 4 quarters inside the match box. It was really sweet. ❤️

My parents got me and my brother these pillows with pockets in them to hang on the door so that they didn’t even need to enter our rooms and the tooth was easy to access.

I left sprinkles of "fairy dust" (fine glitter) and tiny footprints. My daughter truly believed. It was so sweet to see her excitement every time.

My cousin and her husband don't "lie to" their kids about "magical beings," but they're still awesome because daddy (a big man) dresses up in a tutu, wings, tiara, and sash, then ballet twirls into the bedroom JUST after lights out, waving a sparkly fairy wand to do the swap. The kids have to pretend to be asleep but they're totally giggling the whole time.

We just use an evelope, write the name and tooth number (as in, if it was like the 3rd tooth lost), and list which position tooth it was. Then we leave it under the pillow. Tooth Fairy visits, and the envelope goes to Grandma's creepy tooth hoard for safe keeping, lol. I'd imagine if the kid wanted to, they could decorate the envelope or you could use different envelopes. This is an awesome method I've seen done before, though. It's definitely handy if your kid loves to burrow under pillows and plushies, lol.

I go to the bank and get $20 of gold $1 coins. That is what they get. When they were little, it was so special that it was good and different than what we usually use for money.

I had a little pouch I would hang on my doorknob (on the outside of my door). I was afraid of the tooth fairy but I wanted my CASH lol

My dad used to help me pull my loose teeth when I was lil. I wouldn't let anyone else pull them, And when I grew up I found he kept them all. It was sweet and meaningful to us . Now I keep teeth from my pets and when I have kids someday I'll probably keep theirs too. Plus, bones are cool 😂 We can collect a few bones, as a treat
