I have owned a repair shop for many years.
It has been found that recent years' wood is softer than new wood and is often sold with a large forward warp due to the tension of the strings.

This is the reason why there are many guitars that do not have enough room in the truss rod from the beginning, and some of them are sold in a marginal condition.
