Let's all be honest, if we had a way to get money legally with minimal effort, we'd all take it.
I dont know, having food on the table, housing, a car, and the means to enjoy yourself sounds pretty nice to me. No one has that as far as i know so you find a job you can enjoy/tolerate to make it to the point where you can do the above.
Not to mention how much inflation has affected the lives of everyone in terms of housing, food, cars, well, everything! It would be one thing to work and see the fruits of your labor, it's another to work day in and day out to make ends meet.
Work itself is a way to sustain yourself that can be fuffilling in itself, but it shouldn't be "I work all day because its rewarding in itself." Money pays the bills and relieves the stress accociated lack of it.

This is so much BS. I got a really bad back injury when I was in my early 20s and was unable to work for a solid 3 years while recovering. In that time I was doing mostly hobby stuff and random odd jobs to support myself. I was absolutely miserable because even though I was working harder than I ever had before I was barely getting by. Money doesnât buy happiness, what it buys is opportunity, comfort, stress relief, etc. You are clearly still very young and havenât experienced much in life. You will learn with time that money is the most important aspect of life regardless of what anyone tells you. Money makes the world go round, without it, you cannot live in todayâs world.

I agree partially with both sides. No, money isnât going to make you happy, but itâs very hard to be happy when youâre broke. Also, donât work yourself to death. You still gotta take time off and live your life

I work almost 70 hours a pay cycle and I still donât make enough money. I love my job but I love money even more

I do what you do plus windows and some other home service things and i enjoy it alot, so i guess miney makes me happy. I can provide for my 3 kids and fiance and can spend alot more time with my 2 yr old. I did a job on friday moss removal, treatment and gutters. Took me only an hr for 250 but i moved quick and know how to get the job efficiently đ saved that 80 yr old man a trip to the hospital and a few more years on his roof.

Human beings live under the "path of least resistance rule". Meaning, what makes people the most confortable and the most profit is what people are going to choose to do.
Also, please consider that even if you don't think you're paid enough for your effort, people in 3rd world countries like me are paid way less for the same job. And believe me, if you gave me 10 Million dollars I'd take that money in the blink of an eye and I'd never work a day in my life again.
1st world people don't think like that because (compared to the rest of the planet) you already live in paradise.

90% of my problems in life would be fixed by just money. I think that's why. It's not that people don't want to work. They just want to make a decent wage, own a home all while not doing a job that makes them miserable
