I'm relatively new to weightlifting. I've watched every IWF competition for the last year and a half through WH. So I've come to really appreciate Max and Seb's commentary. Recently I've watched your videos on how to the the snatch and the clean & press. My issue is finding a gym with the set up that I can go to. And of course an in person coach. Today I spoke with someone at a gym that has 4 coaches. 3 are powerlifting coaches and 1 is a weightlifting coach. What do beginners in weightlifting normally do or where do they go to get pointers on lifting? Please know that I have a small collection of kettlebells and a Bowflex. So my option is buy a bench, barbell, weights and weightlifting platform or find a gym. Note: I realize this is a really long comment. But I wanted to add that I've even looked into traveling to another state to train with someone who trains other weightlifters. My interest is kinda unexpected but I really like both weightlifting and powerlifting. I kinda wish this interest was there 30 years ago. But here I am with this new found interest now.

I just wish that we could have two rep ranges for the same lift in the same week, eg day 1 squats 3-6 rep range and day 3 squats at 8-12 rep range

I can't remember but can you adjust your weaknesses/sticking points mid cycle without creating a whole new program?

Is it possible to change the exercise? For example switch back squats for split squats? Had a back injury earlier in the year and can't back squat without pain at the moment.
