Screens are nice and offer infinite configurability, but imo, analogue guages are much more classy. It's like a nice Rolex vs a smart watch/phone. The watch or phone does a much better job of keeping accurate time and has more features for way less money, but the Rolex exudes class, craftsmanship, and high income status. It will also still be working when your great-grandkids are on thier 8th phone (if they don't have brain implants by then).

I know they use digital screens instead of physical buttons for climate control in most cars now because it is cheaper to manufacture a giant screen than it is to design and build an instrument cluster with moving parts and physical buttons but, for a “Luxury” car and especially one that costs $80k, it should include the tactility of a well designed, competently built and attractively integrated instrument cluster. Not just an additional screen.

Luxury in a car for me is leather, chrome and wood interiors, large V8s, HiFi sound systems and spacious rear seats in a Coupé, not an IPad dashboard and (mostly) plastic interior in a godawful SUV
